Mesenteric artery and vein contain more TM-α (39 kDa) than TM-β (36 kDa). Vein contains more TM-β than artery. Total tissue protein was separated by SDS-PAGE and TM bands were quantified by densitometry of immunoreactive bands on Western blots (inset). The average contents of TM in either blood vessel are plotted in the bar graph (Mean ± SEM, n = 10, P < 0.05, two-way ANOVA). Asterisks denote significant differences between TM-α and TM-β; pound signs denote significant differences between artery and vein.
