Lipid peroxidation (MDA content) and hydrogen peroxide concentration in the livers of male Swiss mice fed on two different diets. The mice were fed with AIN 93 purified diet (AIN 93) or commercial diet for rodents (CT) for 56 days. The animals were anesthetized, and after loss of corneal and paw reflexes, the liver was collected. Lipid peroxidation was determined by estimating the content of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) and H₂O₂ was measured spectrophotometrically after reaction with potassium iodide in liver tissue.
