The Diffusion-Sorption model used for simulation of the experiment. Bound 1 indicates the start of iodine diffusion and Bound 2 defines the end of zone 2 (connective tissue) as well as the start of zone 3 (muscular tissues). Zone 1, Zone 2 and Zone 3 comprised the diffusion domains under study. C0 is the initial concentration of the staining solution and the curved line indicates hypothetical concentration changes in the diffusion domains.
