Delineated are the names and the accession numbers of the proteases of D. magna from the EST-database search and the established forward and reverse primers for the QPCR analyses (no primers for T610 were established). Apparent molecular weights (MW) resulted from the comparison of the molecular weight marker with the visible protease bands in the SDS-PAGE, whereas true MW resulted from the translation of the sequences (start- to stop-codon) of the EST-database (http://www.nematodes.org/NeglectedGenomes/ARTHROPODA/Crustacea.html; [34]). No complete sequence was available for T208. (CT = chymotrypsin, T = trypsin).
