Mesenteric artery contains more h-caldesmon than vein. Total tissue protein was separated by SDS-PAGE and protein bands were visualized by densitometry of immunoreactive bands on Western blots (inset). The average contents of h-caldesmon in either blood vessel are plotted in the bar graph (Mean ± SEM, n = 8, P < 0.05, Student's t-test). Asterisk denotes significant difference between artery and vein.
