  1. The fasted rats had been deprived of food overnight (16 – 18 hours). The values have been corrected for the contribution of blood remaining in the liver, and are means ± SEM, n = 5. The difference is statistically significant (p < 0.05) a when comparing the effect of heparin,bwhen comparing the effect of nutritional state.
