Tetrodotoxin (TTX), ω-conotoxin GVIA (Ctx GVIA) and yohimbine, but not nicardipine, inhibit the EFS-induces slow membrane depolarization of canine isolated mesenteric vein. Intracellular recordings of membrane potential in response to EFS (0.1 ms, 13 V, 10 s) in canine isolated mesenteric veins preincubated for 30 min prior to and throughout the experiment with 1 μM TTX (A), 5 nM ω-conotoxin GVIA (Ctx GVIA, B), 0.1 μM yohimbine (C) and 1 μM nicardipine (D).
