Effects of Hg2+ on urine volume (A), urinary protein (B) and urinary creatinine (C). Animals received single, ip injections of varying Hg2+ doses (0.437, 0.875, 1.75 and 3.5 mg/kg) and 24 h urine volume samples were collected and analyzed for creatinine and protein as described under methods. The values for each data point represent the mean ± SE for a total n ≥ 6 for each treatment group. An asterisk (*) indicates significant difference from control (one-way ANOVA, P < 0.05, post-hoc Tukey's test).
