Methylation profiles of the analyzed region of the Acta1 promoter in liver from offspring generated in the control or ISF group. No differences in DNA methylation in liver were detected among treatments when comparisons were performed pooling male and female data (P = 0.3), as shown in (a). Nevertheless, gender methylation differences seen in (b), the controls (P = 0.0006), are suppressed in (c), the ISF group (P = 0.4).
